Manpreet
Singh - Managing Director, MZI
Though Manpreet is a B-Tech from IIT Kharagpur,
he has won spurs in marketing and entrepreneurship
during his spectacular 19-year track record
in the IT Industry. But the marketing Guru's
engineering background seems to have influenced
his corporate vision. Hence, in all his ventures,
Manpreet has made extensive use of technology
for efficient management of customer relationships.
Driven by a passion to build enterprises and
ensure customer delight, Manpreet has created
three startup companies in the last nine years. |

After launching HCL Global Alliances and
HCL Frontline, he nurtured them for four
years to make them companies with turnovers
in excess of Rs. 1,000 million (USD 22 million).
He was also the architect behind HCL's star
home computer brand, Beanstalk and the associated
launch of HCL's retail channel. Prior to
joining MZI, he was VP Strategic Initiative
for HCL Corporation. Besides promoting MZI,
Manpreet is the major investor in Gotocustomer
Services Pvt. Ltd., which is India's most
exciting Direct Marketing company (Revenue
run rate : USD 0.5 million per month).
In
1997, Manpreet started MZI as a subsidiary
of Zones US based out of Seattle. Aided
by Gokul Tandan, Manpreet did an MBO in
1999 and in the year 2000 sold the company
to Mail.com, to become a part of the upcoming
portal India.com. In 2002, Manpreet bought
MZI back from Mail.com. Since then, Manpreet
has successfully raised capital from different
investors to grow the company into new areas
of business.

Gokul
Tandan - Co-Founder, MZI
Gokul was a founding member and a key growth
catalyst of the HCL Group of Companies, now
one of India's top 20 business groups with
a market capitalization of over US 3 billion.
Gokul has gained fame as a serial entrepreneur
since the early 1980's when his companies
(The Genesis Group), pioneered much of India's
Telecom Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)
sector. Enkay Telecom and Global Telesystems,
currently Indian Telecom CPE market leaders,
have been an off-shoot of this initiative. |

Gokul has led and conceived major joint
ventures/alliances with Nitsuko, Japan,
Hewlett Packard, Ericsson and Singtel. He
is now MD of VirtualSoft Systems Ltd, and
Investor and Adviser to MZI.

Gurmukh Singh - CEO, Gotocustomer Services Pvt.
Ltd. & Co-Founder MZI
Gurmukh's
career graph is a success saga. His meteoric
rise from the ranks serves as an inspiration
to many in and outside MZI. Gurmukh started
his career as a Systems Implementation executive
with Procter and Gamble, India. His lucky
mascot was Datapro Infoworld Limited, where
he bagged five promotions in as many years
to become regional head. But it was not
luck, but grit and determination that spurred
Gurmukh's ascendancy.

To
many it seemed a feat, but for Gurmukh it
was his hard work, marketing prowess and
business sense that made Datapro grow from
a mere one million company to Rs. 50 million
during his stewardship there.
Gurmukh was part of the MZI management team
and head of marketing for the company. Gurmukh
was head-hunted by Microsoft Corporation
India in 1999, where he was responsible
for Database Marketing, Customer Loyalty
programs and their Indian call center. He
was a part of the worldwide team working
to streamline Microsoft's approach to client
database management and all customer centric
activities. In September 2000, he left Microsoft
to start Gotocutsomer.

Raju Kulkarni - Director, MZI
A
gold medalist in Finance and Accounts from
Sydenham College, Mumbai, Raju has 24 years
of experience in a variety of Industries.
A qualified lawyer, Raju has hands on experience
as director, finance, the Devidayal group
and Mohan Meakins Group of Companies, India's
leading Brewery company. Raju was the Advisor
to Peerlees Finance and is on the board
of several listed companies.

He was also the founding partner of MR Capital,
a corporate advisory company for merchant
banking activities. Raju has been instrumental
inr several M&A and institutional fund
raising activities.
